LESSON THIRTEEN – FCP 5 - Applying Filters
1. What two ways can you apply a video or audio filter?

You can drag and drop a filter from the Effects tab to the clip in the Timeline, or you can identify the clip by selecting I or moving the playahead over it and choosing an option from the Effects menu

 
2. What is the procedure to view and modify filters for sequence clips

Open the clip in the Viewer and click the Filters tab.  To change the priority of a filter, drag the filter name above or below another filter.  To disable the filter, click the enable check box

 
3. How do you delete one or all filters in the Filters tab?

Click the filter name, and press Delete.  To delete all video filters, click Video Filters and press Delete

 
4. What two filters do you use to change luminance and chroma settings on a clip via its visual interface?

You can drag the Drag Filter icon from the Filters tab to another clip in the Timeline.  To copy a filter to several clips at once, selevt those clips before dragging the filter.  you can also use the Paste Attrobutes option

 
7. How can you work with a group of clips as a single clip?

9. How do you add filter keyframes in the Viewer?

Position the playhead where you want to start or end a filter change, and click a parameter keyframe button.  Reposition the playhead and change that parameter.

 
LESSON FOURTEEN – FCP 5 - Multicam Editing
1. What is the frame rate of PAL video?

2. What does it mean when a production is shot multicam?

Multiple cameras shoot the same action at the same time but from diffeent angles

 
3. Where can you enter angle information once a clip has already been captured?
